    IHSPR Travel Awards for Trainees and Investigators 

    Note: IHSPR = Institute of Health Services and Policy Research

    Application Deadline: April 2, 2010

    Abstract: IHSPR has launched this competition for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and new investigators to present their own research at annual or other meetings including international conferences which are related to the Institute’s mandate. A New Investigator is defined as a researcher who has held a full time research appointment (e.g., faculty appointment providing eligibility to apply for grants and/or supervise trainees), for a period of 0 to 60 months as of the competition deadline. The maximum amount for a single award shall not exceed CDN$1,000. The funds can be used to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, per diem for meals, and conference registration fees.     Comparative Program on Health and Society (CPHS) Lupina Fellowships 

    Note: This funding is largely supplemental, i.e., designed for scholars with existing funding of one kind or another. See the link for details.

    Abstract: Generously funded by the Lupina Foundation, the Comparative Program on Health and Society, based at the Munk Centre for International Studies at UofT, supports innovative, interdisciplinary, comparative research on health, broadly defined through our extensive range of fellowships. The CPHS program builds on the scholarly strengths of the University of Toronto in the social sciences, humanities and public health.
