eHealth interventions
What is eHealth?
Defined as the use of internet technology by the public, health workers, and others to access health and lifestyle information, services and support; it encompasses telemedicine, telecare, etc.
Wyatt J.C., Liu J.L.Y. "Basic concepts in medical informatics" Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health 2002;56;808-812
e-health is an emerging field in the intersection of medical informatics, public health and business, referring to health services and information delivered or enhanced through the Internet and related technologies. In a broader sense, the term characterizes not only a technical development, but also a state-of-mind, a way of thinking, an attitude, and a commitment for networked, global thinking, to improve health care locally, regionally, and worldwide by using information and communication technology

eHealth Interventions
e-health interventions should be evidence-based in a sense that their effectiveness and efficiency should not be assumed but proven by rigorous scientific evaluation. The design, content and functionality of the intervention should take into consideration the target user's knowledge of the technology.
